Idaho. Final day.

Knowing I had a HUGE drive ahead of me, I got up at 6 a.m. and finished getting things ready while the kids slept. I was completely exhausted but very anxious to get home to my
husband, my own bed and home, and our familiar surroundings. By 8 o'clock we were on the
road. Sure enough, and not long after we had been on the road, Weston started getting car sick once again (thank you mother for bringing gallon-sized ziplock
bags). When we finally hit Salt Lake City I stopped at my brother's home, grabbed a bite to eat,
let the kids play a bit, had myself a short nap, and then it was back on the road for the shorter stretch of driving. I think we ended up pulling in the driveway just after 7 that evening.
The things I learned from this trip:
1. Weston does indeed get car sick.
2. GPS systems are not always right.
3. Eating sunflower seeds do wonders when you're tired.
4. Idaho drivers travel in the fast lane no matter their speed.
5. California cows don't just live in California.
6. Never go on a trip without my husband again.
7. Never own a dog when I get older.
8. An air conditioner is a beautiful thing if set properly.
This trip was exhausting and long, but, like my dad said, in 5 years I will look back at this journey and be grateful that I went and spent the time. I just hope he's right. . . ha ha ha

WOw. Sounds like a busy trip. That dog will probably sleep for like a week straight! :) I think your dad is right. I think these are memories you will cherish forever. And I'm glad you got to spend time with cousins & even get a picture. Good job!
