Scout Expo

Payton's Pinewood Derby car competing in the second heat of the Wolf bracket. He ended up getting a certificate and a prize for racing and making it all the way to district.
This was part of opening ceremonies where everyone let off a screaming balloon at the same time - it was pretty cool. Wish I could have had a bird's eye view for an awesome picture.

This is Colton doing a little "rock" climbing.

Weston launching his vinegar rocket which was way cool. They kept going back to this booth time and time again to launch more rockets.

Weston and Colton coming down this huge blow-up slide. And Weston was terrified. They pretty much had to push him once he got to the top.

Payton was chosen that morning to participate in the flag ceremony.

Payton and I at our pack's booth.
On Saturday our family spent much of the day at the Boy Scouts of America Expo at the Dixie Center where they were celebrating 100 years of scouting. In the morning we watched Payton participate in the flag ceremony and then race his car in the district's Pinewood Derby. Afterwards, there were tons of activities and games for everyone to do. Weston even got to learn how to start a fire with batteries and steel wool (scary, I know). Then in the afternoon Payton and I had to man our pack's booth for a bit while Kyle ran around with the rest of the boys.
