No pictures today, but here is the rolls recipe for anyone who wants to try it (and I put another recipe down below this one).
Dinner Rolls
5 1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. honey
3 Tbsp. yeast
2 Tbsp. salt
12-14 c. flour
Put everything into your mixer. Start out slowly until it gets mixed in and then take out and need for 10 minutes. Place dough into a large greased bowl and cover and let rise. Punch down and let raise a second time.
Cut dough into 4 sections. Take one section and cut in half. Cut one of the halves into 7 pieces. Mold each piece into a smooth round ball.
PLace the balls of dough on a greased cookie sheet (28 on each pan). Spray with cooking spray and let rise until the rolls touch each other.
Bake at 350 for 22-25 minutes, or until nice and brown. Brush with melted butter right after you take them out of the oven.
I promise, this recipe does not disappoint!
Lately, I have been into smoothies and have grown to love this one. It may sound a bit odd, but give it a try.
Cantaloupe-Lime Smoothie
1 lime
2 c. diced cantaloupe
1/3 c. diced peaches
1 Tbsp. honey
3 ice cubes
From the lime, grate 1/2 tsp peel and squeeze 2 Tbsp. juice. In blender combine lime peel, lime juice, honey, cantaloupe, peaches, honey and ice. Blend until mixture is smooth. Makes one smoothie (I don't add the ice because I use frozen peaches instead of fresh).
